Are you tired of hitting roadblocks in your fitness journey? Do you feel like your progress has hit a stubborn plateau? Partnering with a professional fitness trainer or coach could be what you need to take your fitness to the next level!
Why Choose a Fitness Trainer or Coach?
Personalization
Working with a fitness coach means saying goodbye to generic, one-size-fits-all workouts. Our coaches take the time to understand your body, fitness level, and aspirations, crafting a personalized plan that caters to your specific needs. Every exercise, every movement, and every rep will be carefully selected to bring out the best in you.
Expertise
When it comes to fitness, knowledge is power. Our certified fitness coaches have the expertise and know-how to guide you. They’ll share their deep understanding of exercise science, nutrition, and recovery to help you make informed choices that accelerate your progress.
Motivation
Maintaining motivation is easy at first, and then it’s not. When your motivation wanes (and trust us, it will), your coach will lift your spirits, celebrate your milestones, and help you overcome any hurdles that come your way.
Support
You will have a trusted partner who will hold you accountable every step of the way. This unwavering support will help you stay focused, fired up, and ready to conquer any fitness challenge.
Safety
Your trainer will guide you through proper form and technique, reducing the risk of injury while maximizing the benefits of each exercise.
A fitness professional is not the same as a fitness influencer. While both may have a passion for fitness, there are some definite distinctions.
Here’s what to look for:
Credentials and Expertise: A certified professional has the latest knowledge in fitness training. Ensure their certification is valid, which demonstrates they have taken continuing education credits and are actively learning and growing as trainers. Look for certifications from NASM, ISSA, NCSF-CPT, ACE, and ACSM, to name a few.
Proven Track Record: Don’t just take their word for it or what they post on Instagram – check out the success stories shared by their clients. Quality coaches have the experience and reputation to back up their claims.
Flexibility: Do they offer a variety of packages or programs based on your needs? Do they offer modifications for injuries or accommodations for pre-existing or current medical conditions, and will they willingly work around them? Most can and will, but it’s always good to ask upfront.
Vibe Check: Equally important is that they are skilled communicators with compatibility and connection—in other words, you “vibe.”
If you need a boost in your workout routine or are stuck, consider hiring a personal trainer or coach. As an ACE-certified personal trainer since 2011, I am available for a free consultation, in person or via Zoom, to discuss your needs and how I can help.
Now go run!
