I’m 10 days into a 30-day running challenge. The purpose was to jump-start me back into my running after being sick for almost 6 weeks. Now let’s be *very* clear. My “bar” on this is not very high.
The rule of my challenge is to run at least 1 mile every day, no matter what. So that means even on “non-running” days, I get to lace up my shoes and head out for a mile.
Trust me when I say that my workout schedules are pretty tight – sandwiched in between teaching classes, training clients, and my other job. Plus, I only run 3 days a week right now, so adding the extra days of running into my schedule and current workouts has been tricky.
Which, is why, in the past 10 days, at least half of my mile runs have been done after 5 or 5:30pm. Last week I had a work event and didn’t get home until 6:15pm. I threw dinner onto plates, got dressed in my running gear and head out into the dark to log that stupid mile. But you know what, I’m not mad about those late afternoon/early evening runs because when I have to head out after a long day, it simply proves that goal-setting works.

And that I have a tracker and get to give myself stars doesn’t hurt.
Now go run!
Keli 🙂
