I love teaching boot-camp on my birthday and like to incorporate something challenging but fun at the same time. So for my 54th bday on Monday, I created 2 workouts highlighting my favorite exercise. The Burpee.
One segment was 5 minutes long, and the second was 4 minutes long. And yes, it’s a challenging workout, but I knew my class could handle it.
In case you want to try it out, here you go!
TIPS:
- Go slow.
- Remember to stay strong in your core.
- Breathe and focus on one rep at a time. You’ve got this!
To make this a higher intensity workout (you know who you are), aim to lower yourself down flat on the ground and then push yourself back up.
Note – This version has a higher skill level, so please contact me for tips before attempting it if you haven’t tried it before. Safety first!
If you don’t know how to do a burpee, check out the basic version below.

Enjoy the workout.
Now go run!
Keli 🙂
P.S. Since my role is to coach instead of work out, I did my own Burpee Birthday Bash at home. 58 full frontal (aka: chest to deck) burpees in 5 minutes. Proving that age ain’t nothing but a number.
