I choose not to eat animal products. And while it’s becoming more popular, it’s not exactly mainstream so when I eat out I have to do some research and lots of explaining and directing at the restaurant. Fine, I’m game.
But what gets me super annoyed is when I go to a restaurant and ask that items be not included but I’m still charged as if I’m consuming them. If it’s a salad with chicken and feta, and I ask that they hold the chicken, I’m charged the regular price of $11. Or if I ask for the veggie scramble without the egg, I’m charged the regular price. So I’ve gotten smart and now order these items on the side so Brad can eat them, since I’m paying for them. But still, it’s a pain.
So when I read this piece in the recent IDEA magazine, I thought, ‘what a great idea, finally!’ I mean I have no idea where a QDOBA is located but I hope the trend spreads.
