The SIP 10,000 Steps Challenge

Last April I launched a 10,000 steps challenge with a goal that participants take at least 10,000 steps every day between April 20-30.

I created a Facebook group which was a huge motivator. Members shared pictures of their step trackers, pretty places they were walking and it created a visual story for what we were going through. To track steps, there was a google doc which made for a great accountability tool! The group proved so popular that it kept going for the rest of 2020.

There’s always talk of how small changes can make a big impact. Well, our little group, taking it one step at a time hit 94 MILLION steps between April 20 and December 31st.

This challenge is open to anyone who is looking to get moving more, have some accountability and who may need a little kick in the pants. When people are hitting their daily step goals, it’s motivating and might be just what you need to get you off of the couch after dinner. So please share our FB group link with anyone you think might benefit from our challenge and the support of our community.
