Motivate Your Monday

Most successful people have a morning routine that helps get them ready to tackle the day ahead.  Here’s a few things that are often cited as being most important.

  1.  Start your day by doing something good for your body and/or soul.  Take a walk, go for a run, get to exercise class, read something uplifting or motivational, meditate or simply move your body for a few minutes.
  2. Drink water.  You’re dehydrated after 5-9 hours of sleep.
  3. Eat a nutritious breakfast.  Your body (and brain) needs fuel to function properly.  And if you are one of those “oh I never eat breakfast” types, well ok, I hear you.  But get over it and start noshing.  You will feel better, have more energy and probably be less cranky by lunchtime.  And also tempting office treats will be easier to pass up with some good food in your belly.

So if your morning routine is anything but, take one or two from this list and give it a try.  And let me know what works for you.
