Don’t Be a Rookie On January 1st!

Today is December 7th and there are 24 days left in the year.  Many people (rookies) wait until January 1st to start their New Year’s Resolutions.  And while that seems like a pretty good date to turn over that new leaf, begin anew, etc.  I’d like to challenge you to make one healthy change to your lifestyle now.

Yes.

Now.

Listen, it’s the holidays, I get it.  I’m not asking you to run a marathon, start a cleanse or starve for the next 24 days.  I’m just challenging you to make a small tweak to your diet or exercise regime and keep making that same tweak until the end of the month.

Here’s how it works.  Pick something simple, something manageable; drink 2 liters of water each day, eliminate soda, aim to eat 5-7 fruits or veggies each day, take a 15 minute walk after dinner, do lunges, substitute a cup of tea instead of dessert, only eat dessert after dinner, not after every meal…you get the gist.

So now you have your something simple to do for the rest of the month.  No matter what else you do this month, keep doing this one thing.  I mean it – just do  this one thing.  No matter what.

When January 1st rolls around you will have 24 days of doing something good under your belt.  And trust me when I tell you that having those 24 days behind you will build your confidence and make it easier for you to tackle your next set of goals.

Now go run!

Keli  🙂
