Fitness Friday: Gather Your Tribe

Gather your people, your tribe, your group because we’re going to come screaming into 2020 like nothing you’ve ever seen,  and bust out of our comfort zone and do something epic.

Take some time to think about what you would really like to accomplish physically.   Challenge yourself, make a commitment to work harder than you have in the past and really go for it.  And go for it with your tribe.  Because doing hard stuff is better with a few friends.

Your tribe, when working together, will support, motivate and inspire one another.  You’ll also lean on one another and as you each get stronger, more fit and closer to your goal, you’ll all rise.  It’s a win-win.

So give it some thought.  Maybe it’s a  5K when you normally walk in the neighborhood with your gal pals a few times a week.    Perhaps it’s doing a Spartan Race or a Cross Fit Open.  Or maybe you want to learn to play golf or hike part of the Pacific Crest Trail.  Jot a few things down and have a chat with your pals.  And see what magic ensues.

And if you are stuck with a tribe that would rather have coffee instead of developing blisters from trail running, give me a shout out.  I’ve got your back.
