I, for one, can’t wait until the kids are back in school and life goes back to normal. And by normal I mean my training will amp up, my eating will clean up, I’ll be juggling and multi-tasking like mad and all will be right in the world.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the relaxed vibe of summer, but that relaxed vibe can be detrimental to my motivation. So as I get closer to getting Jack off to 7th grade, my planning gene starts tingling.
What to eat. What to make. What to shop for at the grocery store. What my training is going to look like. I jot it all down and that’s my roadmap. Do I stick with it 100% every day and every week? Not at all, but having it down as a reference helps me stay pretty close.
So as you get your kiddos ready for school, take some time to get yourself ready.
Figure out how what your workout schedule will look like, plan some healthy meals so you aren’t grabbing a crappy grocery store pizza because you didn’t have time to cook or didn’t have what you needed in the pantry. I mean, no judgement, we’ve all been there but it’s much better to have it happen every now and then instead of a few times a week. Right?
Some people are naturals at this planning stuff. If that’s not you and some assistance is needed, let me know. We can have a chat, figure out what you need to do and get you started in the right direction.
Now go run!
