The time change creates a ‘hibernation effect’ in people. It’s dark when people get home from work by 5:30 or 6:0pm, the weather cools, comfort food, electric blankets and comfy, cozy clothes start to become the norm.
There’s no tank tops to wear, no shorty mcshorts to fit in to and bathing suits are relegated to a drawer, not to be seen again until May.
Toss into the mix the upcoming holidays and soon enough our baggy jeans are snug and we’re asking our coffee pants for just a smidge more stretch to fit over our, um, assets.
Well, not on my watch.
So here’s the challenge. For the next 21 days (that’s only 3 weeks people) you are going to schedule 4 days each week to exercise. I don’t care what days you pick, I don’t care for how long – just get up and go.
Put a smiley face, a star or highlight your calendar day in purple to show that you did it. At the end of the 21 days you will feel better, be more inspired and more able to continue with your exercise plan.
I give you my word.
Now go run!
Keli 🙂
Electric blanket – onesie – guilty – next 5k booked so no excuses (although the fact its the Hot Chocolate run may have had a part in that decision 😉 )
