Need a Reset?

Let’s face it – January is hard. And while good intentions are declared on January 1st, it might have taken you a few weeks or longer to get in gear. Or, you might have started strong on Jan 1 but have slipped a few times and are, as my boo, Cody says, ‘rethinking your life’.

So whatever happened (or didn’t) last month, let’s say ‘Hello’ to our little friend. February.

Full disclosure, I realize it’s the 2nd day of the month. But in my world, any day is a good day to start, m’kay?

3 Tips to Get it in Gear

  1. Write one thing that you will achieve this month. Just one. Eat 5-7 servings of fruits and veggies eery day, drink 64 oz of water, not drinking alcohol during the week (it’s only 4 days so stop rolling your eyes), hopping on the Peloton 3 days each week, running 12 miles each week, you get the drill.
  2. Create a way to track the daily work. Make a check off list, a chart, or write your daily goal in your planner. DO NOT use an app, Notes, email reminders. (When you physically write something it has a better imprint and you can use this as a visual prompt each day.)
  3. Review your week and adjust as needed. If schedules, injuries, or life gets in the way, see what’s working, what needs to be tweaked and continue.

Consistency is key and even a small step in the right direction is progress.

Now go run!
