My mother in law Carolyn is a great source for fitness and health information. She clips and brings me articles on health and fitness from her local paper and saves me copies of her Nutrition Action Health Letter. This little gem of a newsletter is published by the Center for Science in the Public Interest and provides a lot of fantastic, unbiased health and nutrition information.
In this month’ issue I discovered a nifty new food item called Kalettes. They are a cross between a brussels sprout and kale and look like little green bunches of yummy packed with vitamin K, C and other important nutrients. They look like a winner.
A “fresh fusion of sweet and nutty” is how they are described and I must have them. They are supposed to be available at Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods but I haven’t made it to either store. So If you are out and about and find them please let me know. If there’s truth in advertising, these may be my new favorite veggie.
Now go run!
Keli 🙂
Thanks for the mention! I don’t know that veggie either. I’ll check next time I’m at Trader Joe’s.
Love,
C
