Taking my own advice

My alarm went off at 5am today and I was so tired I turned it off and rolled over to try and catch some extra zzz’s.  As I was starting to drift back to sleep I realized that the extra 20 minutes I slept wouldn’t really help me much so as I advocate often, I rolled back over and got out of bed.

After coffee, a bit of reality TV and some checking of email, I got dressed and went for a 3 mile run.    Am I still tired?  To be honest, yes.  But do I regret getting up and starting my day?  Not a bit.  I know that missing that run would have nagged at me all day and that extra 20 minutes of sleep would not have been worth it.

Now go run!
